"Upstairs at Hems"

So many people no longer work from offices any more due to high rents and commuting costs. Working from home has its advantages, but also its distractions and disadvantages. So next came coffee shop working. A place to work with WiFi and refreshments on tap. But even that has its downsides depending on how busy the coffee shop is! So we have come up with "Upstairs at Hems", a whole new take on the shared workspace principle.

We've tried to combine the best of the "coffee shop workspace", with the "shared office space" environment, and we think you'll rather like it!

Haslemere's co-working space and Business Club

On the first floor at Hemingways we have created a shared office environment stylishly décorés to be an inspiring workspace but still with an inviting cosy and Hemingways feel. Furnished to suit working, either co-working or as an individual, with personal charging points, 240v and USB charge points, high-speed WiFi, printer facilities, and everything you want from an office environment with the added bonus of the full Hemingways hospitality experience. From a dedicated espresso machine to a fully fitted kitchen from where we can serve you a special "Business Club" menu, you can be fed and watered while you work! We even have a lounge seating area so you can pull away from your "desk" and chill for a while or chat and network with other users. It quite frankly is a brilliant space to work in and grow your business.

The Business Club is hosted by a dedicated member of the Hemingways team, there to look after you, so you can concentrate on your work, and we can concentrate on looking after you.

These business facilities are supplied free of charge. We simply require a minimum spend on teas, coffees, cakes, hot food, or even beer and wine of £5.95 per hour (or part of).

How it works

So...you register as you come in, and sign out as you leave. Let's suppose you've been there for an hour and fifty minutes, and you've had a couple of cups of coffee and a salad, then you've spent over £11.90 (2 x £5.95 per hour) so you pay your bill and the facilities have been free. If you've drunk and eaten less than that, you just pay £11.90!

Given the spend of most visitors we experience, (and the deliciousness of our cakes!) these mean you have the perfect working space and facilities at no cost other than your refreshments!

To become a member of the Upstairs at Hems Business Club, simply register online, or come in and register on the premises. 

We are also offering a limited number of VIP memberships with exclusive facilities, including a private meeting room that can accommodate 12 people, networking events, a postal address service (to give your business a High Street postal code) and many more advantages.
